Hamburg

Hamburg is conveniently located 20 minutes south of the City of Buffalo and shares its western border with Lake Erie. Part of the Buffalo Southtowns, Hamburg is well known and loved by many for the iconic Erie County Fair that takes place each year in August. Hamburg residents celebrate the creation of the hamburger, first created at the Erie County Fair in 1885, at its annual BurgerFest. The town includes two different villages, Blasdell and the Village of Hamburg, and is also home to an array of small businesses, shops, and restaurants, such as the McKinley Mall, Hamburg Brewing, and The Grange Community Kitchen. Residents can enjoy many different recreational activities from golfing on the town’s 18-mile creek golf course to relaxing at Woodlawn Beach.
